The Sparkle Pet mobile grooming salon is a Sprinter van that has been custom modified for pet grooming. Sprinter vans are well known for their quiet engines and excellent fuel economy. In fact, the Sparkle Pet van routinely achieves 20 miles per gallon (much better than many popular passenger vehicles) so you can feel good about having us do the driving for you. The Sparkle Pet mobile salon is equipped with a large battery bank that runs most of the grooming equipment. Sometimes, we'll need to use an small auxiliary generator to dry larger breeds but it is surprisingly quiet and very efficient.
When we arrive at your home, your dog will be gently walked into the van and up onto the lowered grooming table. Then, the table is slowly raised about a foot to match the height of the walk in stainless steel tub. The doors to the tub allow your dog to simply step safely across into the bathing area. This feature is great for older dogs, particularly large breeds, that are not as nimble as they once were! Once in the tub, your pet is washed and massaged with warm water. The Sparkle Pet van carries plenty of clean water to do the job and enough greywater storage to keep your driveway dry. After the wash, your pet is towel dried and then blow dried with a high-velocity dryer. Next, it's back to the grooming table for nail trimming and haircuts.
At Sparkle Pet, we use biodegradable and natural shampoos and conditioners whenever possible. Of course, if your pet needs a special shampoo (medicated perhaps), we will be happy to accommodate their needs.
